Police catch suspects in tire slashings
Four people have been charged in connection with what is being described as a ‘mischief spree’ by police — a rash of tire slashings that occurred in the early morning hours of Oct 31.
Orangeville Police, with assistance from Shelburne police, and acting on tips from the public, made the arrests on Sunday.
Evan Brumwell, 19, of East Garafraxa, Jennifer Brumwell, 21, of Belwood, Melissa Fordham, 23, of Orangeville, and Ricky Moricz, 18, of Orangeville, face numerous charges, including mischief and assault.
Police say one further arrest is pending and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Orangeville Police at 941-2522, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222TIPS(8477).
Callers remain anonymous and information leading to the arrest of the person (or persons) responsible for the crime may qualify the caller to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
