The BIA Window Displays along Broadway during our Poppy Campaign were an inspiring tribute to Remembrance and our judges had a hard time choosing the winners — they were all so creative.

Congratulations to 1st place winner Readers Choice; 2nd place winner Old Downtown Gallery; and 3rd place Dragonfly Arts.

Congratulations are also in order for Branch 233 Colour Party who managed the First Street incline in the Santa Claus Parade without missing a step. You looked great boys and girls!

Branch 233 Committees are busy preparing their activities for the Christmas Season and at the top of the list is the Annual Seniors Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 11th.

For dinner reservations and/or pickup call Sheila russell at 942-1989 or the Legion at 942-9035 before December 9th.

Ways & Means has a Turkey Roll happening On December 3rd. Signup sheets are posted in the Branch.

In the Sports field, the Saturday Dart League are happy to be playing in their old tossing grounds again and our regular monthly Euchre is in play for Sunday, December 4th at 1:00 p.m.

Our Food Committee is offering Roast Beef for this Friday’s Members’ Night Dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., along with entertainment in the Lounge from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday evening Nancy Belsey’s “Music Talks” will be the Karaoke providers.

Branch 233 is also out of the can crushing business, so no more cans, please.We are still collecting can tabs, so please save us your tabs.
