In the early hours of Saturday, October 28, 2005, the community of Mono Centre lost a great man. This past Saturday, November 12th, we celebrated the life of Don Turnbull.

A proud brother, husband, father of seven and grandfather of 16, as well as many other young people who called him Grandpa Don. He was a very well known man with whatever he did and it showed with the tremendous amount of support that my family received.

People from around the community and all over Dufferin County came to pay tribute to a great man.

There was slideshow being played throughout the afternoon that showed pictures of my grandfather’s life. It was extremely well done and I would like to thank, on behalf of the whole Turnbull family, and all of Don’s friends, Cassie McReavy for the wonderful display.

Thank you to the Town of Mono for donating the building for the afternoon, Dods & McNair Funeral Home for all of your help, and to the community of Mono Centre and everyone that showed up to pay tribute to Don, and show support for our family through this hard time.
