Christmas hope banquet
Low-income families, single parents, seniors and anyone who otherwise would be alone this Christmas will be sitting down this Saturday to the 19th annual Broadway Tabernacle Christmas Hope Banquet.
Organizers say the dinner is technically sold out, with a waiting list, but there’s always the chance that some who signed up several weeks ago won’t be able to make it and there’ll be room for everyone.
They say that each year it gets better and better through the generous donations from many businesses in Orangeville and the surrounding area.
“It’s just amazing to see the generosity of donations for food and gifts and the support from this town,” said spokesperson Marian Tomlinson.
“There are gifts for every person invited to the dinner.”
The dinner is organized through a committee of volunteers who work very hard getting the dinner prepared and decorate the hall.
