The Christmas show Kringle’s Window, currently playing at Theatre Orangeville, features the talents of Alice Gillham in her premiere role.

The Shelburne resident, is in grade 5 and attends Primrose Elementary School.

Alice is a regular singer with the Junior TOYS choir and Joan Borden, director of the choir says she’s very pleased for her young pupil.

“Alice has been singing with us for four years now,” she says. “She is very eager and loves to sing and perform.”

Kringle’s Window is the story of a modern-day family who needs reminding of the magic of Christmas, and gets that message through the family’s two children. Boomer, played by Alice, is the youngest child in the family.

“I am really happy to be in this show,” Alice said. She says she was able to learn her lines easily and thinks that acting is a lot of fun.

The show is taking her away from the classroom and when she is not on stage she is keeping up by doing her homework and assignments sent by her teacher.

Miss Gillham is on stage with a talented cast including local actors Rachel Grant, Linda Goranson, Nora Sheehan, David Rosser, David James, Elizabeth DuBois, Colin Simmons, Scott Mitchnick, Jennifer McCall and David O’Dwyer
