Otters place well in Port Elgin competition

The Orangeville Otters Swim Club travelled to Port Elgin to compete with five other teams at the Southport Optimist Invitational Short Course meet on November 19th and 10th.

Special congratulation to three Otters who earned the high point trophy in their respective age groups: Emily Jones (13/14 year-old girls) Hannah Jones (11/12 yearold girls) and Keaton Ward (10 and under boys)

Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed in the top ten in their events. 10 and Under Boys

Keaton Ward – 1st in 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 100 IM, 2nd in 50 Breaststroke

Wesley McGowan – 1st in 50 Backstroke, 2nd in 100 Backstroke, 3rd in 100 Breaststroke, 4th in 50 Breaststroke, 200 Freestyle, and 5th in 100 Freestyle

10 and Under Girls

Sydney Belcher – 1st in 50 Backstroke, 3rd in 100 Breaststroke, 4th in 100 Freestyle, 5th in 100 IM

11/12 Year Old Boys

Michael MacCormack – 4th in 100 Backstroke, 6th in 100 Breaststroke, 7th in 200 Freestyle, 8th in 100 Freestyle, 200 IM, 9th in 50 Freestyle

Yuki Yamashita – 1st in 50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, and 800 Freestyle

Spencer Newcombe – 2nd in 100 Breaststroke, 3rd in 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 4th in 100 Butterfly, 200 Backstroke, and 5th in 400 Freestyle

Matthew Wormington – 2nd in 50 Freestyle, 4th in 100 Breaststroke, 400 Freestyle, 200 IM, 5th in 200 Backstroke, and 6th in 100 Butterfly
