The team has been playing strongly and has now won 4 out of their last 5 games with strong team defense and an improved transition game.
A first period goal from Doug Derbyshire combined with one from Kurt Wolff in the third lead Orangeville to a 2-1 win over Milton last Monday evening.
Wednesday night saw Orangeville visit Acton for a big game. Orangeville played one of its most exciting games of the year and won 3 to 2, outshooting Acton 28 to 15.
Again, Doug Derbyshire had a big goal to lead off Orangeville in the first period with an assist from Kurt Wolff.
In the second, Wolff scored with assists from Derbyshire and Bronson.
The third period was exciting hockey with Orangeville killing off penalties and Acton pressing after having tied the game.
It was with only 4 minutes left that Brandon Grant took a nice setup pass from Louis Sapi to score the winning goal. The other assist went to Matthew Courtney.
Orangeville’s next 3 games are important as they are playing against the 3 teams fighting them for 5th spot over-all.
