The Orangeville Police community service vehicle, a high-profile black Ford F150 4x4 pickup truck frequently seen around town, has caught the attention of the country through a vehicle contest sponsored by Blue Line Magazine and CanadaPolice.ca.

It was recently voted Canada’s best dressed community vehicle, beating out secondand thirdplace winners Edmonton and Victoria police services.

Blue Line Magazine, Canada’s national law enforcement magazine, circulates in both the private and public security field. PoliceCanada.ca is a website that features police vehicle graphic designs.

Ken and Steve Filsinger in partnership with members of the police force designed the winning look.

Police Chief Rod Freeman is especially proud of the achievement.

“Our police service has been very proud to represent

our community in this bragging-rights-only collections set competition,” he said in a press release. “While we take our primary responsibility of ensuring community safety and security very seriously, it is a real treat to bring a national spotlight onto our police service within the police profession by this first place designation.”
