Photo/MANDI HARGRAVE Trinamics Inc., an Orangeville-based manufacturer of packaging machines, celebrated its fifth birthday this week with an open house to celebrate their success.

The open house took place at their facility, located at 25 Centennial Road, with a guest list of local dignitaries along with customers from across North America.

Trinamics celebrated the event by showcasing their latest design, the servo-driven TR616SL Case Packer that will be shipped this week to its new home at the Leamington plant of H. J. Heinz Company of Canada Ltd.

The company designs and builds custom packaging machines for the food, beverage, dairy, household consumer and light industrial products. Their customer base includes Heinz, Gay Lea, General Mills and McCain Foods.

In the five years the company has grown from a two-man operation to a current work force of 15.

President Barry Ryzebol credits their success to the quality of the machinery built at Trinamics.

“We don’t risk the quality of the machinery by cutting costs on substandard parts and ideas. It’s important to our integrity and to our customers that we deliver what we promise and first and foremost has to be quality,” he said.

Vice President and Engineer John Cavallin shares Mr. Ryzebol’s commitment to quality.

“Every aspect of the design is carefully considered for the customers complete satisfaction. We work closely with our customers from the design layout stage to the facility installation and this has proven to be beneficial to both the customer and to us. The customer develops a trust in us and we get a better understanding of the different process’ and sometimes we can develop new ideas that benefit the customer even further,” he said.

To initiate increased awareness to their business, Trinamics hired Judy Vandervoort as marketing director.

“After attending a trade show in Las Vegas in October, Trinamics generated a stream of interest that surprised even us,” she said.

She added, “We were thrilled with the amount of interest from the Las Vegas show, we’ve had some positive feedback from several customers who have since visited our facility to spend more time viewing our machines. Our quoting activity has increased by 60 per cent and we’re feeling extremely confident about the future.”
