I wonder if anyone else grew up in a home where the head of the household was made to put on formal attire to watch Liberace? Well Friday is going to be one of those occasions when Branch 233 gets a touch of class with a visit from the famous Red Hat Society Ladies. Only one problem though….headwear is not permitted in the Legion so these glamorous calendar gals may feel naked without their trademark. What will be fully dressed are the Turkey Dinners our Food Committee is preparing for the occasion, available with all the trimmings for $4.00 from 5 to 7. Making their first appearance are entertainers Zack and Bing who will be featured in the Lounge from 6 pm until 10.

Saturday, Branch 233 hosts the Zone Dart Tournament. Registration is at 10 a.m. Teams from each of the eight branches in Zone will be participating in this all-day event, so some of our regular sports activities have had to be curtailed to accommodate the Dart players. Karaoke begins at 9 pm with Jill Phillips and Howling Wolves.

Sunday, February 5th is the Annual Public Speaking Contest at Branch level Youths from 21 schools in the area will be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place to qualify for the Zone competition later in the month. At 5 pm the Branch will be open for members only who wish to get a play by play of the Superbowl on our “big screen” television.
