The Orangeville Curling Club will be hosting the Ontario Mixed and Senior Mixed Curling Championships from April 4th thru to April 9th.

Nine mixed teams will be competing from various parts of the province including Ottawa, Niagara Falls and Guelph.

In the Senior Mixed competition, Orangeville will be represented in the Provincial Finals by Randy Gray and his team of Marg Smith, Bruce Russell and Marilyn Gray.

The public is welcome to attend and enjoy the action.

The curling gets underway at 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and will run continuously through the remainder of the week.

Official Opening ceremonies will be held at the club on Wednesday April 5th starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Senior Mixed event is slated to on Saturday April 8th with the winner being declared based upon the best record in a seven game round robin competition.

The Mixed event continues thru into Sunday with a semi-final/final format to determine who will represent Ontario at next season's Canadian Mixed to be held in Kitchener-Waterloo. The time for the semifinal is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning followed by the final which is to be held at 2:00 p.m.
