Driver's failure to buckle up blamed for severe injuries
Not buckling up resulted in a 35-year-old East Luther Township woman being airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries on Tuesday.
Dufferin OPP reports that at about10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer was driving northbound on the Amaranth -East Luther Town Line when the driver lost control and the car entered the ditch and rolled over. The driver was ejected from the
vehicle and sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police confirmed that the woman was not wearing her seatbelt.
Grand Valley Fire Department and Dufferin Caledon Ambulance Service also responded to the collision. The driver was transported by ambulance to the Headwaters Health Care Centre and then airlifted to St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto for treatment.
