Following a busy month of training, the Orangeville Otters were back to competition at the beginning of April with the team split between two meets.

The following Otters achieved top ten results at the Spring Turbocharge, long course, held at Wilfrid Laurier University:

The Otters would also like to recognize three Masters swimmers who competed at Brock University in St. Catharines at the Ontario Provincial Masters Championships. A job was well done by the following Masters:

Patricia Riley who was 1st in 50 and 100 Butterfly; 2nd in 200 Backstroke; 4th in 100 IM; 7th in 50 Backstroke; and 9th in 200 Freestyle.

Kimberley McGowan who was 2nd in 100 Butterfly and 400 IM; 4th in 200 Backstroke; 7th in 800 Freestyle; 9th in 100 IM; and 10 in 50 Backstroke.

Doug Fleck who was 7th in 50 Butterfly; 9th in 100 Breaststroke; 10th in 50 Backstroke, 100 IM, and 50 Breaststroke.

Finally, Emily Jones and Yuki Yamashita deserve recognition for qualifying to participate in the Ontario Provincial

Short Course Championships held in London, Ontario the weekend of February 23rd. Emily was a standout in her 200 Backstroke, finishing 6th in the province and 12 place finishes were awarded for her 50 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke.

Yuki came 7th in the province for his 200 Butterfly and 10th for his 100 Butterfly.
