The Atom Hawks competed in the Basketball Ontario 2006 Ontario Cup Provincials on March 31 and April 1 in London.

The team had it tough in pool play, facing three teams ranked above them in the provincial standings. The 15th-ranked Hawks faced 2nd-ranked Mississauga, 7th-ranked London and 10th-ranked York Region. Unfortunately the team was unable to come out on the winning end of their three games and did not advance to quarter-final play.

When asked to sum up his team's efforts this year, Coach Hamilton had this to say about the team:

"It has been a pleasure to coach such a wonderful group of kids, who even when the score was against them, still managed to never give up."

The parents would like to thank Coach Hamilton for taking the time to work with the team, Jim McAlpine for helping behind the bench, Trisha Hamilton for keeping the coach and parents on time, and Lori McAlpine for score keeping. We would also like to thank the team for a great year of basketball.
