This Friday we are offering a Roast Beef Dinner from 5 p.m. until 7 for $4.00.
On Saturday, April 22nd, Branch 233 will host a dinner for our Ladies Auxiliary members. Organizer and Chef, Comrade Bruce Lumsden, has some surprises in store for the ladies, sorry gals....no male strippers this year! However, President Lomack will be attending to offer his traditional kisses, etc.
In the Lounge, from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., Nancy Belsey's Music Talks will be providing Karaoke for members and their guests.
Branch 233 will be serving its "Forty Dollar Breakfast" for $4.00, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon on Sunday, April 23rd. Come out and enjoy the fare!
The Legion Fiscal Year is fast coming to a close and on Monday, April 24th a new set of Officers and Executive will be elected to run Branch 233 for the 2006-2007 term. Members will be asked to present their 2006 Membership Card, or a receipt showing they have paid their 2006 dues, otherwise they will not be allowed to attend the meeting.
Branch 233 is teaming up with the Lorne Scots Army Cadet Corps for a drill practice on Saturday, May 27th. Parade Marshall, Comrade Julie Flynn is seeking candidates for our Colour Party. Any member interested in carrying colours, or just wish to look good on Parade, come out and drill with the Cadets in the Legion parking lot at 10:00 a.m.
On Sunday, May 28th, members are invited to attend the Annual Cadet Inspection at Tony Rose Memorial Arena.
Branch 233 is still collecting pop can tabs but has gone out of the cancrushing business and are no longer accepting pop cans. We wish to thank all those who came out and crushed cans for us.
