Royal Canadian Legion News
Branch 233 Officers and Executive have now been appointed to head up our Committees for 20062007 and it looks like a promising year ahead.
Our Legiongram newsletter has been launched again and as an added attraction we have included a Legiongram Sunshine Girl to its pages. Since there is no shortage of beauties among our membership, choosing some for upcoming issues, won't be a problem; the only requirement is a smile!
Members interested in joining our Branch Colour Party are urged to come out on May 27th at 8:30 a.m. for drill practice. Comrade Julie Flynn and the Cadet Corps will put us through our paces, so loose apparel is necessary for all those body parts to function without restraint.
Tee off time for our Branch Golf Tournament on Sunday, May 28th is 8:00 a.m. and the cost is $60. Also on the 28th, the Lorne Scots Army Cadet Corps is holding their Annual Inspection at Tony Rose Memorial Arena. A sign-up sheet for Branch members wishing to attend the 2 p.m. ceremony is available at the Bar.
Our Food Committee is taking a well deserved break for the summer and will be back in the fall with a whole new slate of delectable dishes to serve for our Friday Members Night Dinners. All outdoor events include a barbeque starting with our 4th Annual Show & Shine Event on Sunday, June 4th. Saturday Karaoke is still going strong and this week Nancy Belsey's Music Talks will be featured in the Lounge.

The Saturday meat spins have fallen off somewhat of late, but that's understandable with people wanting to be outdoors a lot more at this time of year. Our members are working hard on various projects, and in particular getting ready for the annual Fiddleville crowds.
All our meetings, Monday Euchre, Foot Kare Clinics, and so on, are as usual.
WE URGE ALL MEMBERS to be sure to attend the General Meeting this month as it is once again time for elections. Only if
