Immigration charges laid

A North York man and his companion face drug and immigration charges respectively after an arrest at a Mulmur Township gas station late Friday night.

Dufferin OPP report observing a suspicious vehicle parked at the Sunoco station in Primrose on Friday May 12, at about 12:50 p.m. When officers investigated

the vehicle they found two male occupants and observed a white plate with what appeared to be cocaine residue inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation the officers located two small baggies of cocaine with a street value of about $100.

Charged with possession of cocaine is 35-yearold Mario Anesetti of

North York. Mr. Anesetti is scheduled to appear in an Orangeville court on June 12 to answer to the charge.

The other man, Ruben Santos-Bottini, was arrested on a Canada-wide Immigration Warrant. He was transported to the Dufferin OPP station and then turned over to an Immigration officer for an admissibility hearing.
