Founders' Fair coming July 7-8

The Downtown Orangeville BIA will be hosting the annual Founders' Fair celebration on Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8 in the downtown area.

Organizers of the weekend celebration are welcoming the return of Grand Valley resident and

area favourite, Elias On Fire, who will amaze with his fast-paced and entertaining fire and circus show.

Elias On Fire will be part of the grand opening festivities on Friday evening, following the official opening by Mayor Drew Brown at 7 p.m., and will perform throughout the weekend at the various stages set up in the downtown core.

Elias On Fire is well known for his amazing night fire show where he performs a multitude of tricks using glow equipment, fire swords and fire juggling balls. Elias has performed across North America in busker festivals and on stages delighting audiences with everything from juggling, unicycling, German wheel tricks, tumbling, balancing, clowning and with his aweinspiring fire tricks.

Along with Elias On Fire and a number of other strolling busker performers, the weekend gala celebration will also feature

sidewalk sales, heritage displays, weaving demonstrations, the Crafters' & Farmers' markets, pony rides, pie eating, karaoke and pet contests, tree carving demonstrations, an antique road show, antique tractor displays, a lumberjack show, children's craft and play area.

Saturday afternoon's highlight performance for families will be at 2 p.m. in the Town Hall Opera House with a special concert by Eric Nagler. Tickets are limited, and at $10 each (general admission) will sell out quickly, so be sure to get yours early.
