Optimists' $million Hole In One next week

The Orangeville Optimists' $1-million Hole-inOne Contest is set to take place next week.

The fun-plus-competitive five-day golf contest will start Wednesday at Johnson Controls on C Line, where the flag will be set at 95 yards, with 16 tees to shoot from.

The 10 people landing closest to the pin each day win a prize and get to play in the Sunday finals. Seniors enjoy 1/2 price balls all day Thursday. Friday. Ladies also enjoy half-price balls and 10 will qualify for a $50,000 Shoot Off on Sunday.

Saturday morning, from 9 until noon, kids will qualify for 5,000, $2,000 and a $1,000 prize Shoot Off on Sunday.

On Sunday at 3 p.m., 50 semi-finalists can each

win $25,000 if their first shot, $10,000 if their 2nd shot, and $5,000 dollars if their third shot is a holein one.

And a new Toyota from Hallmark Toyota is available to be won by the first semi-finalist hitting a hole-in-one on their first hit.

After the semi-finalists shoot, the closest 10 to the pin proceed on to the next level where they take one shot at winning $100,000 if they shoot a hole-in-one. Five finalists then shoot one ball for a chance at $1 million. There are many chances to win other big Prizes, spot prizes and sponsor gifts throughout the event.

All proceeds will go to the Optimist Club of Orangeville's youth initiatives.
