The new trail located at Rotary Park that runs to Fourth Avenue has been named George Douglas Way.

Mr. Douglas was part of the Trailways committee and knew the trails throughout town better than anyone.

Councillor Rob Strang said that whenever someone informed the committee of a problem on the trail Mr. Douglas was always able to say exactly where it was as he walked many of trails everyday.

Council approved the name Monday night.
