Kings Buffet dinner supports hospital
The Orangeville Kings Buffet restaurant will host an all-you-can-eat fundraising evening on Thursday, July 20, in support of Headwaters Health Care Centre.
The family night of live entertainment, karaoke and all-you-can-eat buffet will take place from 7 p.m. until close. A portion of the proceeds from each dinner sold will be donated to Headwaters. The wait staff will also donate a portion of their tips.
The money raised will be directed toward the purchase of new equipment for Headwaters. This equipment will support patient care in every area of the hospital including surgery, women and children's health, cancer treatment, dialysis and complex continuing care.
As the provincial government does not generally provide funding for hospital
equipment purchases, on an ongoing annual basis Headwaters Health Care Foundation must raise funds from the community to meet the hospital's clinical equipment needs, which average over $1 million each year.
"This evening is our way of saying thank you to Headwaters for the excellent care they've given our staff and families when they've needed it", says Joanne Poremski, owner of Kings Buffet, Orangeville, "and a way to remind the community how important it is to have a good hospital close to home."
The buffet prices: adults: $12.99 (65 and over receive 10% off); children: $6.99 (6-12 years old); toddlers: $2.99 (1-5 years old).
For reservations, please call Kings Buffet at 519941-8811 or drop in that evening for dinner.
