BIA plans 'History in Art' event
Orangeville's Business Improvement Area is planning a new event next month that focuses on the town's heritage.
The event will be called "History in Art" and the goal is to make it a yearly attraction for residents and tourists alike.
BIA members are being asked to participate by either prominently displaying old photographs or allowing the BIA to display old photographs from the 1800's of their locations during the week of September 18-24.
The association hopes to partner with the local Heritage Society to create an advertised walking tour for the weekend of September 23 with brochures for those who want to walk about on their own accord.
Veronica Cvet, Chair of the BIA's events committee, said the association has already confirmed reenactments of the era, a cast iron cooking display and an old clothing display.
