The fourth of five races in an Ontario series, the 5Peaks Mono Cliffs Trail Running Race will take place at Mono Cliffs Provincial Park Aug. 12.

This off-road running event will feature three race distances: a 500metre ScotiaBank Children's Challenge, a 5.6 km Sport event and an 11.2 km Enduro race.

With 400 participants expected, ranging in age from 3 to 70, this will be truly a family event. The beauty of the Niagara Escarpment and Bruce Trail make the Mono Cliffs Park a breath-taking yet challenging venue which is fast becoming a favourite amongst the five races in Southern Ontario.

Pre-registration is available online at www. 5peaks.com and race day registration will be available onsite at Mono Cliffs Park between 8 and 9:30 a.m.

The ScotiaBank Children's Challenge will take place at 9:30 a.m., and the Sport and Enduro races will both start at 10: a.m.

A portion of the registration fees from the 5Peaks Series is donated to the Canadian Ski Patrol System and Leave No Trace Canada.
