Dr. Troy Herrick, Medical Officer of Health for Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph, has resigned.

"We thank Dr. Herrick for his accomplishments over the past four years and wish him well for the future," Lynda Davenport, Chair of the WDG Board of Health, said last week in a statement.

The Board has arranged for interim medical coverage with Waterloo Public Health, while it develops a recruitment strategy.

Ms. Davenport said she was confident that public health services will continue uninterrupted during the transition period. Clients and community partners can continue to access public health services from their local public health office.
