Dufferin students win Queen Elizabeth II scholarships
Over 20 students from Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School are among 366 students across the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board who have received the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top scholarship.
The scholarship is a provincial award given to students who graduate with top marks at their high school and have plans for post-secondary education.
The 21 students from Dufferin are Adeyinka Adedeji, Ben Michael Brillantes, Cameron Coulter, Kaitlyn Diduck, Alexandria Husband, Jay Knox, Stephanie Mustari, Leon Olszewski, Laura Peterson, Jedidja Van Rooij, Jennalyn Wright, Justin Beraldo, Stephanie Chandler, Christian Di Poce, Elena Gismondi, Kevin Kasee, Colin Mitchell, Andrew Natale, Anna Palmieri, Karl Smyth and Jeffrey Wayow.
"We are very proud of the accomplishments of these students, their teachers and their schools," said Michael Bator, director of education. "We wish them all the best in their post-secondary endeavours."
As well, students who maintain at least an 80 per cent average at their post-secondary institution can receive scholarships that are worth up to $3,500 per year, up to four years.
