Minor Midget AA Flyers hold back Storm to tie 2-2

2006-10-19 / Sports

The Minor Midget AA's would drive into the Guelph Storm Saturday October 14th.

Power was strong in net and pounced on everything that came near the blue ice denying any chance for rebounds.

Orangeville seemed to control the play for most of the game despite spending some serious time in the box.

Orangeville hit the score sheet first with Critch popping one past the Guelph goalie set up by Noble.

Noble would continue to provide thrills for the audience as he was awarded a penalty shot after being pulled down. Noble did not disappoint as he set the stands on fire as he made the Storm pay as he scored and put Orangeville ahead by 2.

Guelph help on and would fight their way back into the game. Guelph brought the Storm and Orangeville brought the fury and in the end they would walk away with a 2-2 tie.

Everyone wants a rematch and the wait won't be long as these two teams are set to battle again Oct. 17 which has all the promise of a great game.
