Royal Canadian Legion News

BY JILL BROYDEN Branch 233, Orangeville

Branch 233 Poppy Campaign is well underway and Orangeville merchants have been most accommodating to our volunteers. The schedule board for tagging is looking a little sparse, so we are appealing to members to sign-up for tagging. On this week's Friday Menu is Pub Pies $5.00 and Lindsay Morgan.....What a combination! Saturday Karaoke will be provided by 'Music Talks' from 9 pm until 1. Sunday, November 5th is our Remembrance Church Parade to Tweedsmuir Presbyterian Church. Form-up is at 10:00 am in Legion parking lot. Rev. Harvey Self has a special service planned, so we would like to see a good turnout of members. Tickets are now on sale for our November 11th Remembrance Banquet. Twenty dollars each and WWII and Korean Branch Veterans are free. Veterans call Secretary Jill Broyden for your tickets.
