Exciting things are happening at the Orangeville Christian Reformed Church on B line Line.

New building projects, a new nursery area on the main floor, and disabled accessible elevator, have been installed in the last year. New items for the sanctuary - tile, carpeting, power point and new lighting.

Yes, things are happening here in a material sense. But things are happening in our programs as well. Everyone in the community is welcome to take part in our ownership services that take place on Sunday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday school for the children is provided during the morning service and a fellowship time with coffee is provided after the service.

During the evening service, there is teaching on the doctrines of the Christian faith often using the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgiv Confession or the Canons of Dort. These confessions make the Bible and our Christian walk more understandable in line with the Scriptures. It acts like a road map to life and living in the light of God's word.

During the week there is an interdenominational Coffee Break Bible study on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Yes, there is Story Hour for the little ones while you have adult conversation and fellowship. This program started Sept. 20.

Catechism training about the teachings of scriptures for the youth is presented on Tuesday evenings. Gems (Girls everywhere Meets the Saviour) for young girls between the ages of 10-14 meets Monday evenings. Friendship for our special needs folks meets every other Friday evening at 7.

We opened this year activities with a barbecue. Friendship is interdenominational and is open to anyone who would like to enjoy this time of fellowship, fun and crafts.

Me 'n' the Kids meets on Thursdays at 7 p.m. There are small group couple Bible studies in various homes. More home and willing parties to open their homes to small group bible studies are needed.

Men's Life Bible study meets the first and third Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. at the Nifty Nook. If interested in any of these programs or you want more information please call 519-941-6401.

Yes, things are happening at the Orangeville Christian Reformed Church. Come find out for yourself. There is a special welcome there for you.
