Tractor, Turf and Trail celebrate new location
For the past five years Tractor, Turf and Trail has been operating off Highway 10, but they've recently expanded their facility and now operate on the 2nd Line in Mono just north of Highway 9.
They will be celebrating the grand opening of this new location on Friday, Dec. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. by offering no taxes on all instock products, excluding machines.
The new location has an open concept showroom and a larger parts department.
The business sells commercial and personal lawn and farm equipment, recreation vehicles such as four wheelers and snowmobiles, snowplows, toys and clothes for each line of product.
Just this summer the company added motorcycles to its line of recreation products.
Chris Hare said the store's biggest consumers are estate property owners and farmers. He said that with the larger facility employees will be able to serve customers and meet their needs better.
The company offers pickup and delivery for all services. For example, Mr. Hare said if someone's tractor breaks down and they can't get it in to be repaired the store will pick it up for them.
As well, they have a mobile service where they will repair the machine onsite.
The company building the new facility has been working seven days a week for months due to setbacks caused by weather problems.
Mr. Hare said he really appreciates the work they've been doing and how quickly it has come along. He described Murray Fines of Fines Home Hardware in Shelburne as a mentor through the whole project he said. Mr. Fines and Mike McMann, of McMann Builders, have been working together to build the new site.
Mr. Hare describes the shop as a one-stop shopping centre for outdoor equipment because it offers full service, whether you're buying a piece of equipment, looking for replacement parts or accessories or financing equipment.
Operating hours vary depending on the season. For now they are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
