Santa’s for food bank donations
On behalf of the Reindeer, Elves, Mrs. Claus and myself, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Shelburne for the warm welcome we received last Saturday at the annual parade.
The post-parade activities, in support of the Shepherd’s Cupboard Community Food bank, raised $341.25 in cash as well as two grocery carts full of non-perishable food items. Simon the Camel and the two Reindeer, Katie and Becky, particularly enjoyed all the smiling faces lining the parade route.
I would like to thank all those who supported the parade and food drive including Tony Finnochio of Tony’s Street Meats, who donated his day’s proceeds to the Food bank totaling $180.00. I would also like to thank the following people and organizations that provided support that made the day possible: Canadian Forces (Reserve) 32 Brigade, Maple Lodge Farms, Ron Wooley Exotic Critter Tales, Tim Height Tiger Paw Exotics, Proper Ford, Movie Gallery, Katimavik, Debbie Harrison (The Door Drop In Centre), Bill Eade & Nicole Wiatzka (NW Racing Stables).
I would like to ask all to remember the food bank, not only in the Christmas season but throughout the year. They are there to help out in times of need. Please help to see that they are ready!
Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Holiday Season and a joyous and prosperous New Year!
