Mel Lloyd Centre leases renewed
      County council has renewed its five-year leases with medical facilities at Mel Lloyd Centre, at rental rates approximating $12 a square foot for 2007. The Mel Lloyd Family Health Team leases 6,577 square feet in the Centre, and occupies some space in the south Bouwhuis area. Its basic lease, exclusive of taxes and utilities, begins at $65,770 for 2007, and rises to $74,024 by 2011.

Murdoch seeks milk probe
      MPP Bill Murdoch (PC Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound) has fallen short of supporting the distribution of raw milk by one of his constituents, but does support an all-party investigation of whether or not it should be legal in Ontario for anyone to drink the unpasteurized product or whether there should be an outright ban.

      The Headwaters Health Care Centre recently accepted a donation of $1,000 from the Rotary Club of Palgrave to assist with the purchase of trees and the ongoing maintenance of the new Healing Wheel of Trees that enhances the entrance to the hospital. This donation kicks off a matching donation program whereby Scotiabank will match donations made to this project.
