MADD Dufferin County Chapter recently wrapped up its annual Project Red Ribbon campaign for 2006.

The Chapter was thrilled to be able to welcome Nature's Sunshine Products of Canada Ltd. as a sponsor of the local Project Red Ribbon.

The new sponsor's own manager of operations, Connie Jefferson, is an active member of the local committee of MADD.

Garry Ford, general manager of Nature's Sunshine in Canada, says the company has always been very caring both for its distributors and clients as well as the public at large. The firm conducts many compassionate projects each year under the banner of "Ray of Hope," with funds being jointly provided through special campaigns with the company's distributors as well as corporate contributions.

The MADD Chapter is currently gearing up for the second annual Guns & Hoses & Broken Noses charity hockey game, being held in Shelburne this Saturday, Feb. 3. A joint effort by local police, firefighters and paramedics, the game promises to be a lot of fun and includes a silent auction full of great items.

Tickets are available at Pete's Donuts in Shelburne, Shelburne Arena and Shelburne Town Hall.
