School boards disclose $100,000-plus salaries

As required by the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, the Upper Grand and Dufferin Peel Catholic district school boards have disclosed the names and salaries of all employees who were paid more than $100,000 in 2006.

In all, 159 senior employees were listed by the Catholic board, with Education Director Michael Bator topping the list at $200,962.00 plus $3,962.83 in taxable benefits.

Robert F. Hall principal Edward McMahon received $111,643.94 and $1,590.65 in taxable benefits.

The Upper Grand board listed 64 names.

Education Director Martha Rogers topped the list at $180,416.43 plus $1,015.35 in taxable benefits. Her salary last year was listed as $162,204.76.

Next in line was Chief of Operations Tom Smith, at $148,457.35. Debbie Magahay, principal at Orangeville District Secondary School, earned $107,608.66 plus $628.19 in taxable benefits, while Principal Doug Morrell's salary at Centre Dufferin District High School in Shelburne was $107,084.08 plus $625.47 in taxable benefits and Orangeville's Westside Secondary School principal, Darryl Kirkland, made $104,203.50 plus $608.32 in taxable benefits.
