Education Week's theme: 3 L's

2007-04-26 / Local News

In Ontario, the week of April 30 - May 4, education will be celebrated with the theme Listening, Learning, Living.

The Ministry of Education says it's a time to "celebrate our accomplishments and reflect on new and exciting challenges ahead."

The Upper Grand District School Board is extending the time to include activities from mid-April to mid-May, allowing schools the flexibility to plan events and activities to encourage participation from parents, staff, students and the community.

A list of the activities, which include open houses, science fairs, exhibits of literary and artistic work, band and choir concerts and operettas, will be posted on the board's website at www.ugdsb.on.ca.

Everyone is encouraged to take a few minutes to visit the neighbourhood school(s) during scheduled events to see what students have accomplished.
