Re: Residents appeal council decision on seniors' apartments (By Mandi Hargrave, April 5) I attend as a concerned party and citizen of the (great, caring) community of Orangeville the Town council meetings with a view to keeping the Mill Street - Carnegie-endowed Orangeville Public Library more open than closed (in 2006 it seemed more closed than open). More ... I have a dilemma…it concerns the 'so called' art that is currently hanging on the walls of our Shelburne town hall. I know many of these artists and their capabilities and can only assume that these pieces are to signify to the violence inherent in our society. Example - the recent killing spree in a school in America. It's been done before - "Guernica". More ... I am encouraged that Premiere Dalton McGuinty has come to the realization that the development of thermal technologies is a favourable method for dealing with Ontario's solid waste crisis. His Government will fast-track environmental assessments from municipalities that wish to pursue pilot projects. More ... |
