Police are investigating the discovery of a male found dead near Alton on Wednesday of last week.

The family of Albert John Hare, 62, of Mississauga, reported him missing to Peel Regional Police on Tuesday.

His body was found the next day in a brush area off Beach Grove Sideroad and police closed the area for a short time to remove the body and conduct an investigation.

An autopsy did not reveal foul play and police are asking for the public's assistance.
