LEYTA HAILED AS LEGION BACKBONE: As one of his last official acts as president, Frank Lomack presents Leyta LaMere with an award honouring her for her dedication to Orangeville branch, Royal Canadian Legion. Mrs. LaMere is the widow of former Legion president Bill LaMere. She can be found almost every day of the week in the kitchen, as the ladies auxiliary prepares meals for the branch meetings and for various functions and meetings of the service clubs who use the facilities. The ladies are the major financial contributors to the affairs of the branch.
