A75-year-old Orangeville man has been remanded in custody on a charge of sexual assault pending a further bail hearing next Thursday, Aug. 16.

The charge against Bruce Douglas Morrison, laid July 25 following a complaint by a teenaged female, was among several before the Orangeville courts over the past week.

Also before the court on sexually related charges were William Depew, 47, and a third Orangeville male,

Mr. Depew was charged by Orangeville Police Services on June 18, on charges of threatening death, kidnap, sexual assault and assault. His hearing has been put over to a later date.

The third Orangeville male is facing 10 sexually related counts, and is scheduled to return on Sept. 11. There is a publication ban on all information surrounding the charges.

In all cases, there is a ban on publication of the identity of the complainants, as well as of any information which might tend to identify them.
