Back to back wins for Orangeville Crushers
      The Orangeville Crushers have made their way into the win column for the first time this season with a pair of back to back wins this weekend. On Friday night the Collingwood Blues playing host to Orangeville. Both teams came into this game looking for their first season victory.

      HARVEST FESTIVAL. The Orangeville Northmen held a harvest of a different kind last weekend when they played host to the Laurie Montgomery Fall Harvest Field Shootout on the grounds of the Orangeville Agricultural Society last weekend. Players from tyke to bantam representing centres from across the region gathered for this annual one day event.

Kings fall to Stallions
      The lights at the Idlewyld diamond went out for the last time this season when Hillsburgh defeated the reigning Intercounty Fastball champion Orangeville Kings 12-4 last Thursday night. More importantly for Hillsburgh the win boosted them past Orangeville to take the best of three semifinal playoff series.

FEI World Cup held in Dufferin
      Canada's first and only International Equestrian Federation (FEI)-sanctioned World Cup Eventing Qualifier is taking place near Mansfield at the Wits End Farm. The event, which begins tomorrow (Friday) and wraps up Sunday, is the equivalent of a triathlon, where event tests include speed, endurance and athleticism over three phases of competition.

Outlaws end season with BBQ and awards
      The Orangeville Outlaws Representative Football Association marked the end of the season with their traditional banquet and awards ceremony at Island Lake Conservation Area on Saturday, September 15th, 2007. The rain didn't deter parents and players from celebrating another successful season with the barbeque and pot luck.

      ODSS BEARS Tori Quinn works her way through traffic in front of the Centre Wellington hoop in District 10 Junior girls basketball action. Despite a solid effort and three pointers from Sarah Van Marrum and Jenn Ward, the Junior Bear squad were unable to contain the potent Falcon offence who went on to post a 36-17 win.

U14 Storm takes YRSL title
      Orangeville Storm under 14 Rep soccer team capped an outstanding season in the York Region Soccer league last Tuesday night at Rotary Park. Orangeville beat Aurora Stingers 4-0 to capture the league championship. The team completed a league and cup double having beaten Unionville 2-1 in the YRSL Cup final on August 26th.

Minor Atom AA see tournament action
      The Orangeville Minor Atom AAteam participated in the Flamborough Early Bird Tournament September 14th - 16th and despite a slow start to the tournament, completed the weekend with outstanding results. In game one the Flyers faced Oakville and lost 4 - 1 with Mitchell Elsley scoring the lone Flyer goal.

      ODSS SENIOR Boys soccer team put in a spirited effort but just could not find the scoring touch, dropping a 2-1 decision to CCVI in District 10 league play on Monday afternoon.
