MONO TRAIL was launched, Wednesday, when the Town invited residents to the official opening of the trail - a new 923 metres of multi-surface trailways that will eventually become linked to the Island Lake Conservation Area's Vicki Barron trail. Mono took the opportunity of the grand opening of the trail to participate in the World Record Walk. Pictured are Mono Mayor Laurie Haddock, Dufferin Warden John Oosterhof, Ontario Trillium Foundation's Cam Ballanytne, Bill Lidster from Credit Valley Conservation and Fred Nix from the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority. The trail was built with a $50,000 grant from the Trillium Foundation and lies at the divide between the Credit and Nottawasaga watersheds.
