MC2 'Happening' October 22 to include scavenger hunt, dinner
The Mulmur-Mono Citizen's Coalition is planning to host "The Happening" on Saturday, October 20.
Billed as "both unique and inexpensive," the event will begin with a Scavenger Hunt at 3 p.m. by motor vehicle, to various intriguing and historical spots in Mono and Mulmur.
The hunt will start and end at the Dufferin County Museum, at the corner of Airport Road and Hwy. 89. Participants are promised they will discover historical facts that they never knew existed.
Great prizes will be awarded that night for those who are able to visit all of the designated sites in the least number of kilometers. Time will not be a factor.
The hunt will be followed by a dinner starting between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., featuring local produce, with a cash bar serving local wines and beer. It will be provided using a food station buffet concept, and will be catered by Alex and Dan's Food Services from Mulmur.
Running concurrently with dinner will be a silent auction including items and services donated by both Coalition members and the community at large. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by The Bruce Ley jazz trio, two of whom are from Mulmur and Mono.
Cost for the day is $60 per person.
