      An open letter to Amaranth Council, re: Curbside Garbage Pick up Although I spoke at council last month, it seems my sentiments fell on deaf ears. Council had their mind made up that they were going to fall in line with Sandhill Disposal's desire to increase their profit without any thought as to whether curbside pick up was good for residents of Amaranth or not.

      Ron Bosman has managed to confirm in a somewhat disjointed manner why faithbased schooling should not be encouraged. The voters have spoken but I suspect that some of these zealots will raise the issue again.

Ontario flag re-design
      In 2001, NAVA, the North American Vexillological Association conducted a poll asking its members and the public their opinions of flag designs in the U.S. and Canada. The top three results ranked New Mexico's, Texas' and Quebec's respective flags first, second and third. Unsurprisingly, the results ranked Ontario's flag 43rd out of 72.
