'Holiday Treasures' at museum

2007-11-29 / Local News

"It's beginning to look lot like Christmas . . .", especially if you happen to be at the Dufferin County Museum and Archives.

Holiday Treasures, a 10- day Christmas show and sale, features the works of over 30 local and area artists and artisans, who transform the Museum's Main Gallery into a seasonal show and sale of unique handcrafted gifts, perfect for the person who has everything.

Forget the chain stores; find one-of-a-kind items for everyone on your list including yourself, all while you enjoy the atmosphere of the Museum at Christmastime! $2.00 will get you in (Museum members and children under free), but only during Holiday Treasures.

Holiday Treasures has been compared favourably to One of a Kind - but closer to home, and with free parking.

While there, be sure to buy an ornament or two generously made and donated by artists for the "Donation Tree". All proceeds from the sale of these special ornaments goes to the Children's Wish Foundation" at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Holiday Treasures Arts and Crafts Show and Sale will run until this Sunday, December 2, during regular Museum hours. Tuesday to Friday 10 to 5; Saturday 10 to 4; Sunday noon to 5.
