With the win, the Flyers extended their incredible regular season winning streak to 44 games which started from the first regular season game from last season.

Their NHL counterpart the Philadelphia Flyers hold the NHL record for an unbeaten streak of 35 games.

With Orangeville finally having all their players in the line up they went down by one early in the first until Kyle Waters tied things at 1-1 on a goal assisted by Shane Price and Dustyn Pratt.

Deaglan Small gave Orangeville the lead with Antonio Traetto and Scott Del Zotto picking up the helpers.

The game was close for a bit but the Flyers eventually took control as Ty Inglis from Matthew Wark gave the Flyers a two goal lead.

Scott Del Zotto scored back to back goals to widen Orangeville's lead with line mates Antonio Traetto getting his second and third assist of the game against his former team. Deaglan Small also picked up an assist on one of the goals.

Kyle Waters tagged his second of the game from Shane Price. Playing short handed, Ty Inglis picked off a pass then streaking down the ice on a breakaway, made no mistake beating the Winterhawks goalie to make it 7-2 at that point.

With Orangeville on the power play Scott Del Zotto finished off the hat trick and then defenceman Ryan Boon from Evan Kiser finished things up 9-2 at the final buzzer.
