Comment on misconceptions

In regard to Ron Bosman's response to my article in which he claims faith is based on fact, I want to comment on a few misconceptions. I did not place science 'against' religion, but said science and faith were two of several ways we have of finding out things.

Evolution has nothing to say about the creation of the universe.

My understanding is that Stalin was raised catholic and educated in seminary. During WWII he restored the Russian Orthodox Church to prominence.

Hitler was raised Catholic and never wavered from a belief in God. He greatly admired Martin Luther for his anti-Semitism.

My article spoke out against no one. I am dismayed that Mr Bosman, a Christian, would have such awful things to say about atheism. I don't believe it is a Christian goal, Mr Bosman, to disseminate hatred and fear.
