Orangeville's recently hired chief of police, Joe Tomei, says he is enjoying his new role as the Orangeville Police Service boss and is looking for contributions from those around him.

At a day-long meeting between the chief and members of Orangeville's business community, Mr. Tomei said he is looking for suggestions and comments from police officers and the general public about where law enforcement should focus in the Orangeville area.

In that vein, the chief will be surveying police officers to figure out which areas need police attention the most. He expects the move to last up to two months, after which time he says he will have a better understand of the town's needs.

Anyone with suggestions is asked to call the police service at 519-941- 2522.
