The Upper Grand District School Board and the Office, Clerical Technical (OCT) Bargaining Unit of District 18, Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation have ratified a collective agreement that was reached on Dec. 13.

The one-year agreement covers the period from September 1, 2007 to August 31, 2008 and provides for a 3 per cent increase retroactive to the start of the contract. Along with some housekeeping and language changes, Family Day was added to the statutory holidays noted in the contract. The union ratified the collective agreement on Monday, January 14.
