Shelburne Wolves Minor Hockey report
The Atom Local League Team #1, sponsored by DA Gracey and Associates skated to a 3-0 victory over Beaver Valley in regular season action December 1st, 2007.
Starting the scoring was Luke Newmaster, followed by unassisted goals from Isaac Fazackerley and Spencer Martin.
Matthew Cameron made his debut between the pipes and earned a shutout.
The team took on Stayner on December 6, 2007 at home and earned another victory, winning this game 4-2.
Newmaster started off the scoring in this game, assisted by Jared Moore, Martin popped in the second goal from Justin Bennett. Newmaster scored again from Fazackerley and Martin popped in the final goal from Bennett.
The next day, they travelled to Meaford where they dominated the play, coming up with an outstanding 12-0 victory.
Earning points for the team were: Newmaster
hat trick and an assist); Martin ( 2 goals); Fazackerley (2 goals), Zachary Laform (2 goals, 1 assist); Angus Cooper (2 goals); Bennett (first goal of the season); Lyle Purdy
2 assists), and Cameron 2 assists).
Jacob Hall did outstanding between the pipes to record the shutout.
The Wolves played host to Creemore on December 13, 2007 only to come up on the short side of a 5-4 final.
Cameron started off the on the scoreboard on a great pass from Fazackerley.
Newmaster scored next from Bennett; Martin popped in the 3rd goal from Emily Brydon and Newmaster tipped in the final goal.
A great job from goalie Hall who made a lot of great saves and kept the game close.
The Bantam Rep team, sponsored by Ken Young Aluminium, took on Creemore for game seven of their regular season.
This was an exciting back to back game, ending in a 2-2 tie.
Both goals were from Todd Greer, unassisted. Game nine of their season took place in Honeywood where the fans were treated to an exciting back and forth game.
Goals from Bobby Landers, Mackinley Martin, Thomas Brooks, Jake Newton, Zac Ursu,
and Curtis Young with assists from Tyler Craig, Connor Early, Martin, Newton, Ursu, Young and Brent Hoskins (3) lead this team to a 6-6 tie.
Game 10 saw the boys take on Creemore again, this time victorious in a 2-0 decision.
Goals came from Young and Ryan Elo, with assists from Early and Doug Black.
The team took on Beaver Valley for Game 12 with a 9-2 win.
Greer, Ursu (2), Martin, Landers, Young (2), Keagan Leveque and Kolt Gallaugher all scored a goal with assists from Landers (3), Early, Ursu, Young (2), Leveque, Gallaugher, Kevin Gate, and Black.
