Heading down the home stretch of the regular season, the Orangeville Crushers took their show on the road this past weekend with games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of last week. First up was a match against the Stoufville Spirit. More ... The Arthurs Fuel Tyke Select Flyers started their play-offs against the unknown as they were the first team to face the Guelph Storm team that dropped down from the Select 1 division. Orangeville came prepared, outplaying the Storm and taking a 2-0 lead after a goal late in the first period and another with 4:04 left in the second. More ... The Orangeville Wolves travelled to Grandravine recently for a game against the Tornadoes. The Wolves are a team of developmentally challenged athletes who take to the ice with a fun first attitude. Travis Grist opened the scoring for Orangeville in this one scoring his first of four on the day. Wolves veterans Dougie Myers and Joshua Sibley set up Grist for the opener. More ... BUSY PLACE. The Orangeville crease was a busy place on Monday night as the Peewee AA Flyers took on the division leading Georgetown Raiders in Tri-County playdown qualifier action. The Shelburne Wolves Novice Rep team, sponsored by Pete's Donuts took their first round in the play offs with a game seven, 5-2 win over Stayner. First goal was earned by Evan Spencer and assisted by Mitchell Skilton. Second goal went to Darrin Janke from Skilton. The third goal came from Chayse McCallum assisted by Evan Spencer. More ...
