Thanks for ruining March Break
On Monday, March 10, 2008 I was really excited that I would be able to spend one day of this March Break with my step kids.
I took them out for breakfast then we went bowling, grocery shopping and finally home. I got home to find that we had been robbed.
Our family laptop gone, right off my dining room table. I was shocked to find that nothing else had been touched
In the same area we had other expensive electronics, money, jewellery, all still there where we had left it but not our family laptop.
Why did this happen to us my stepson asked? Why did they want the laptop and not our money or jewellery or other stuff?
I couldn't answer his question. My stepdaughter and son are the people that are hurt the most. There are a lot of family photos on there.
A lot of family memories that I will never be able to replace them, along with my engagement photos, wedding photos and kids stuff.
It's sad that this happened in the middle of the day on March Break. We live on John Street, a busy street. March Break is to be fun for kids and parents that can spend time with them.
All I ask if that it be returned. Nobody has the right to take from anyone. Just bring it back. I just want my memories back, either to me, Police or the Orangeville Citizen.
Also, we have an idea of who you are and our home security cameras do as well as my neighbour.
I would like to thank you for ruining my kids' March Break, and hope that you have enough morals and values to return it. My husband and I work hard for our money and do our best. At least I know that our kids have morals and values that they wouldn't steal or walk into somebody's house and help themselves.
I believe in second chances. Please consider this as yours.
